Apparently, Ekiti is a continuous project that deserves regular attention, bearing in mind the need to put the state in its deserved vintage position in the comity of nations. Meanwhile, with the obvious multifaceted challenges perpetually confronting the State, it is very sacrosanct to employ every reasonable strategy to garner progressive ideas to move the State forward.
This informed the creation of Ekiti Future Agenda (EFA), a nonpartisan and nongovernmental cross-generational organization, founded in 2010 by eminent Ekiti sons and daughters with Adesina Adetola as the Convener to create a platform that will ensure the mobilization of people (primarily the youths), resources and opportunities at the disposal of Ekiti State to ensure a society that is well developed, self-sustaining and vibrant as well as a future that is brighter and abundantly rewarding.
In furtherance of this main aim and objectives, the Agenda created a WhatsApp Group platform. Today, the WhatsApp Group platform is made up of a good number of Ekiti people home and abroad with diverse social statuses, political affiliations, ideological inclinations and educational backgrounds. These include, past and present top political office holders and top government functionaries, internationally acclaimed technocrats, business executives and successful entrepreneurs, retired and practicing civil servants, religion leaders, community leaders and traditional rulers as well as student and youth leaders among others. This encourages further engagement and more robust interaction of Ekiti people. In validation of caliber of people on the platform and to put the Group in more resourceful use, a Roundtable Discussion was initiated, which thereafter kicked off on the 19th February 2021.
